WARNING!
As the title of the site is just telling, this is a site about tech stuff!
It is about the task, that private and advanced film makers fear most:
SYNCHRONIZATION BETWEEN FILM FOOTAGE AND SEPARATE SOUND.
With film footage I mean: REAL film (some people call it „analog“), those small transparent stripes with holes at one edge.
If you are still shooting Super 8 mm or even 16 mm film using a 30-year-old camera, be sure that you are not allone. There are still a lot of people who did not abandon quality and creativity in favour of modernism and fast food.
But all that people have one common technical problem:
How can footage and sound be put together, without investing in pro equippment, crystal cameras etc etc?
And: how can sound tracks of real films be edited with computers, just like your video-shooting friend is doing?
I truly hope, you will find some answers to those questions on the following pages.
What is this page about...
a big variety of existing cameras, projectors and other equippment can easily be integrated in a synchronization system. Crystal Controls make projectors compatible with modern digital equipment.
