Can be connected to P1008, P1008-Q, T008MS or E1008MS in order to count frames for your soundtrack story board. 5 digit display for total frame numbers up to 99999 frames. Automatic recognition of counting direction (if supported by input device). 5 preset buttons to write any frame position to the counter´s memory or to set a frame position, where an external sound source should start by remote. The C1008-D model (foto) is a dual display counter, containing two independently working counters, one with preset functions. Ideal to keep track of both devices at the same time and to restore easily the sync-position at any time. |

Input signals: TTL/CMOS 5V signals (low active) for unit counting; reverse indicator signal input to count backwards. The C1008-D model has 2 input connectors. Pin-compatible with the sync out connector of the P1008 and P1008-Q synchronizers. Output signals: remote control output for audio players (relay contact). Output can be activated automatically, whenever the counter display 1 matches with the preset remote digit code. This way, you can remote start any audio source exactly at a specified frame number. Operation modes for each counter display: "foreward": counter increases which each incoming pulse, regardless of the state of the reverse pin. "backward": counter decreases which each incoming pulse, regardless of the state of the reverse pin. "automatic": counter counts up or down, depending on the state of the reverse pin. The reverse state is shown with a LED. Each counter display can be reset individually and it´s number can be decreased or increased unit by unit individually. Counter 1 can be set to the selected preset code. Remote control for audio sources: The connected audio source can be switched constantly on to provide preview or rewind funcionality. When set to remote mode, the audio player is switched on when the display 1 matches with the preset and memorized code number. The code number can be selected at the separate 5-digit decimal selector and loaded into the counter´s memory by pressing the set button. The reset button turns the audio source off again. |

combines perfectly with the P1008 and P1008-Q synchronizers: power supply can be made with the included power connection cable that plugs in directly at the synchronizers. In this case, a 8...12 V/1 A power adapter (AC or DC) is recommended. connecting the SYNC OUT socket of the synchronizers to the counter socket of the counter (cable included) enables you to track the master sync signal´s frame number continously. Now you only need to note down the frame number that corresponds to the scene changes into your story board, and you can edit the soundtrack of your film exactly!

allows easy linear sound track editing: When using the C1008-D counter, you can connect the second display to your slave device, f.e. a motor film viewer. The viewer is synced by the perforated tape in the tape deck and shows you your film while listening to the soundtrack or recording additional sound effects or music to the sound track. During the sync playback, the 2 counter displays show in parallel the frame numbers of tape perforations and film frames. When rewinding the tape or changing the tape or film position for editing, the original sync point can be restored at any time very easyly, only winding film or tape until the two displays show matching numbers again! It has never been easyer. |
